TPMS sensor bands question
TPMS sensor bands question
I have a quick question that I'm hoping someone here will know the answer to.
Last year I put new wheels and tires on my ranger. When I did, I bought new TPMS sensors and bands and had them installed when the tires were put on the wheels.
Well, long story short, I bought polished wheels without paying attention and they're too much of a pain to keep looking clean, so I want to swap them out and get some that are clearcoated and sell the polished ones.
Since I will be swapping on the same size wheels, can I have the tire shop just swap the sensors and bands over to the new wheels? Or, will the bands have to be replaced? I don't know if there's a possibility of them breaking when they take the tires off or not, or how that works.
