I should note that
1. It only has 1 tank installed.
2. Its a small tank. I dont know how many gallons but theres a spare tire right under it.
3. When I fill up and top off, it starts sinking slowly. I can be there for a long time so i just leave (done it 2x only). The point is that I dont know how many gallons it is. I stopped at about 13/14gallons. takes too long for the diesel level to go down and make room.
Have you checked underneath to see if your filler hose is pinched? That can cause slow fill ups. Is this the dually you are talking about? If I recall you had a banks turbo on it, chances are your IP is turned up a little to keep up with the turbo. But I am no expert in the turbo department

This is the dually. Only the rear tank is installed. Ill check to see if there are any dents.
Is it putting out black smoke? If not it is not turned up too much. It has to be turNed up with the turbo.
It should be a 18 gal tank. 10 sounds low with a turbo. What are you boost pressure and exhaust gas temps?
You may need to adjust the pump timing there are several good post on it already.
If you can find out from the PO exactly what had been done as Fars as mods
It does not put out smoke. Maybe when I floor it some smoke comes out, but nothing crazy. boost is maxed at 9psi according to the PO. I have seen it go to 10psi. When im cruising down the street, its about 1-2psi.
the EGT is always at 200-220. If i floor it up a hill (did this when i rode the truck home, then called the owner and he said dont go 80mph up hill), it shoots way up. I was told by the PO to keep it at 65-70.
The PO said he only had it for a year. So im guessing the owner before him did this. Ill see if i can get in contact with the previous owner, lost his number.
All of that and no fuel leaks? I'm thinking your gauge or sending unit may be giving you false readings. You should be getting better fuel mileage than that

Huh? How is the EGT always at 200-220? Thats like idle temps... What do you mean by 'shoots way up'?? If you keep it under like 1100 you'll be fine. Who cares if you go 80 mph up hill? (well maybe thats a bit over the speed limit...) If the EGT isn't too high, and you're not over-revved drive it like you want to. The PO's opinion should have nothing to do with how you drive YOUR truck.
That being said, if you want better mileage, sure keep it at 65-70...
You say its a dually, is it a dump truck? What gears in the rear? What transmission? 10 MPG is crap for mileage, but it all depends on how the truck is configured and what you're hauling at the time. I'd say something isn't quite adding up here.

Oops I confused the gauges. Thats the extra after market Engine temp gauge.
The egt, he said dont let it hit 48. which means 480 degrees.
When i floor it for too long, especially up hill, it climbs close, I back off the throttle.
its a dually f350, 4 door, longbed. Hauling nothing, thats whats is confusing me.
Is your egt guage in F or C? 480C is about 900F, which is about right if the pyro is post turbo. 480F is not high at all.
For a pickup dually, the rear tank is approx 19US gallons, and should take around 18 gallons on a fill.
What trans and gear do you have?
I asked the previous owner if he knows whats been done to the fuel up or injector pump. He said it was turned up one notch. Is this too much? Just seems like its using up diesel like a mother F'er.
I saw this today, its a fuel line, seems pinched. does this have an effect on the truck?
