Long time listener, first time caller. I came over from the 7.3 forum since I bought a 6.7. Anyway, I was poking around Facebook the other day and saw that DP Tuner is now offering programmers and tunes for the 6.7's. I had awesome luck with DP on my 7.3. I know they have probably been for sale for all of a day but I was curious if anyone has either purchased one or knows anyone running DP Tuners in their 6.7's. I'm planning on deleting my 2012 as soon as my bank account allows it to happen.
Any info or discussion is welcome. Just feeling out what everyone thinks. You know how those first gen things can get a little wonky until the bugs are worked out.

I could be wrong (and I may be on this one), but I don't think they are offering delete tuning for the 6.7s. I think I read it is all DPF ON stuff. I'll double check.

Oh really??? I'll have to look myself. That would throw a wrench into my plan!
DP, Innovative Diesel and 5 Star are emission tunes only. The Feds are cracking down on delete tuning, but there are still some around. The performance tunes with emissions intact are strong and typically reduce regen frequency. Mine went from about 300 miles to 400 miles on my long commute.. Short tripping and idling are the driving forces for deleting as it takes a good 20 mile run on a hot engine to complete a regen.
Yes, we do offer 6.7L tuning! We have actually been offering it since around 2012, but it is just recently taking off as people get more miles on the trucks and begin to mod them more.
As stated, we offer DPF ON tuning. Unfortunately, the EPA has really put the hammer down on emission delete tuning. With that being said, you can still safely get quite a bit of performance out of these rigs with DPF on. Like SkiSmuggs mentioned, with the higher HP tunes you can actually see a reduction in regens. This is better for the engine and longevity of the DPF.
If you are looking for feedback, there is a thread going on in the 6.7L section on the .org forum. I am sure there will be feedback coming on all forums soon too though.

I hope there are still delete tuners around in a couple of years when my warranty is out. I may just purchase the tunes and parts now and wait til my warranty is out to install.

There are. I run a SCT x4 with deleted tunes. PM me if you want more details...EPA may be watching you know...
Sorry guys if this has been posted up here before but I have a questions about the DP Tune. I have a 2019 and wanted to know what type of mpg increases everyone has been seeing with the dp tuner. I was going to do a dpf removal but with all the flack the past month with the EPA looking at other options to gain some MPG and a little more power.
Thanks for the info in advance
I think MPG increases with tuning is something of a myth. If you traveled the same long distance route every day, you might be able to tell something, but a .5 mpg improvement for just driving around would not be noticeable to most of us. I have the DP-Tuner 35 and 50HP tow tunes plus the 5-Star 40HP tow tune and have not noticed better MPG. However, I did notice a slight improvement in regen intervals which I attribute to the higher RPMs from holding the gears longer. Stock tune hits 6th gear about 38mph, 5^ at 42-43mph and DP-Tuner about 45mph, so the tunes have more HP for acceleration and less engine lugging. All 3 tunes make driving a lot more fun.
Dang that is disappointing. I was hoping for a approx. 2 mpg increase. I plan to keep this truck a long time but would really like to see some better fuel economy. The hard part is I'm getting really good MPG until the regen starts then it all goes to He++. Most tanks I see an average of about 17.5 mpg.

I'm not saying you won't get an increase, but most folks blow any increase by enjoying the tune. I get about 14 around town and close to 20 at 65 mph.
Believe it or not, regens only impact the fuel mileage about .1 or .2 mpg if you quit resetting the meter. If you get a regen after resetting 200 miles ago, the MPG hit looks devastating. If you get a regen after a few thousand miles since the last reset, it barely make a dent.

My last fill up with a regen I calculated my mileage to 15.28 mpg and the one before that was 15.80 mpg. That's usually what I get with a fillup without a regen. I've also hit the 16s with mileage also without a regen. So I don't believe my regens are affecting my mileage that much. Also, my regens are out beyond 400 miles. Just had one today at 469 miles out from the last. The last two before that was 410 miles and 455 miles. When I do more city driving, the regen interval decreases. I have the 3.55s gearing which what gear set you have will affect mileage. Just FYI.
