Looking for a Non China Source for Constant Voltage Regulator.
Yesterday, went thru the long process of preparing, and install the instrument cluster only to have the new CVR unit break, the connections on the unit came off when I removed the press-on wires clips. Now in the hold pattern, thought I would check before ordering a replacement, imagine most supplier's purchase from the same China Source?
You can also "roll yer own" and go solid state, there may be a "sticky" somewhere on this. A few caps and a VR and Bob's yer Uncle. I think I paid $23 for the little ******* several years ago because I was certain that it just had to be bad. It wasn't.
Greatly appreciated, certainly looks sturdy, majority of the others appear as cheap as the unit intend replacing. Not familiar with the round white plastic doohickie on the back? Found another MotorCraft with same doohickie, and PN: B9MZ-10804, I am familiar with, and also on the box from China? Difference Motorcraft PN GR-508 as opposed to that of GR-604?
Although appear both come with the same white plastic doohickie, intend purchasing the B9MZ, and also the other once confirm it's compatible? Again, I thank you!!

I have acquired a few of these cheap VR, think I will go thru the collection, test, and toss if determine they aint working. The 'roll yer own' is my next option, seem to recall member posting the ingredients to go solid state. Having said that; seems the MotorCraft units have lasted me for ever?
