Alarm

Can anyone give me any info on how the alarm on a 2016 might work?

Had my truck for almost a month , I walked over to it a few days ago and opened the door and the horn started honking?

I didn't do anything any different than any other day?
Has me puzzled , it hasn't done it again?

My keys were in the house so I went and got them and pushed the red panic button and it quit.

On my 08 it had a real alarm system with red flashing light etc , but this one doesn't?

No, your truck isn't. What you have described is part of the PATS anti thief security system. Have you read your owner's manual? On or about page 64.

Page 62 but it didn't tell me why it went off once.
I leave truck unlocked in my yard, just take the keys out, it should not be armed?

the alarm

Normally, if you unlock your truck by reaching through the open window and pulling up the interior lock then open the door with the outside handle, the alarm will go off. That is the only time I have see this happen.
