alarm!!!!
How do you disable the alarm this is a real pia
ok for some of you you may wonder why but where we live we don't need a alarm
I keep telling my wife to quit locking it and she wont have that trouble but it is a habit
where we live my closest neighbor is 3 miles away and we are the only house on the road

must be theft system unless someone put an alarm on it we live in the country farm setting and have a few outdoor cats where they belong
and when they jump on car the horn honks and lights flash it is kind a funny unless its 4am

That's the parameter alarm which mine, a '09 doesn't have. You'd have to look in your owner's manual to see if there is anything that can be changed or turned OFF. You didn't mention what year it was.

Are you sure it's not a faulty hood switch or something?
Does the factory system actually come with a proximity alarm? Those things are so 80's/90's and annoying (like when they go off because someone walked past your car)... finicky as hell. I'm surprised something like that would be in a factory alarm.

it is an 05 escape
i was looking under dash and I found that this thing has a remote start it is an actual ford one the dealer was no help I am thinking there settings in the remote start
does anyone have a manual for this remote start
I went back to where I bought it and they had one 2 button remote but couldn't say for sure if it is for mine or not
my wife said it did it the other night at work too
could it have anything to do with the dam door ajar light that works when it feels like it
