Great Idea! do this and it will rule out pump being bad if pressure stays the same.
Thanks guys I will try that. I was also thinking maybe FPR is weak or leaking internally on the side of the fuel bowl. Truck has 338k who knows if it's original, probably
Insert a piece of clear vinyl hose prior to the pump. If you see air bubbles.....
Temporarily T a vacuum gauge into the supply prior to the pump. If you see high vacuum readings (it should be pretty much zero, but I've never run this test on a Super Duty, so I'm not sure what a normal indication would be. A few inches of vacuum is probably OK.), or the reading increases with load, there's restriction in the supply.
I installed billet fpr kit with blue spring, from eBay, got 80psi at idle and cruising. Still drops when wot, not as bad but down to 30, it's issue on the tank side
