Hello Eric,
I'm hoping you have some good news, hopefully you found a resolution to your issue with your truck. I have similar circumstances: installed a H&S tuner and deleted the EGR along with a straight pipe and now I keep getting this DTC P04DB off and on. Have you had any luck? Hopefully you are monitoring.

Has anyone heard of an issue like that being cause by a tuner? I am replacing the CCV hoping that will clear the code.
Did you have to take into the dealership or did you buy it online and install it yourself? I am trying to get an idea of what this will end up costing me. Thanks for the information and quick reply.
Bought the part and installed it myself, was not to difficult as long has you have the correct swivels as a few bolts are tough to get to. There’s a good video on YouTube that goes over the replacement.
Have had the engine light coming on and off on the '16' for the past 6-8 months so bought a code reader this past week and have the P04DB showing. After searching and finding this thread it's nice knowing that Ford will cover the repair.
Did your truck get recalled for the computer flash? Mine did and they did the fix for the P04db code while they had it. Mine has 96k on it. My code was intermittent again and they replaced the parts under warranty. I have a good dealer. I hope you have the same luck.
I have 2 recalls;
21E01_ calibration for nox sensor faults
17M04_ crankcase ventilation oil separator assembly (this P04DB), I'll print out the pdf and take it with me. I hate stupid dealership games.
I never got a notice on these till I got the Ford app for the new truck. This winter when I head for AZ with the 5th wheel I'll get these taken care of.
