I've had bad luck with Napa, Autozone, and the Irish store ones on the fleet that's why I recommend OEM. For some reason or another they stayed engage even when the trucks were unloaded making alit of noise, installed OEM unit and works at it should.
Well Finally got around to switching out the air boot and my noise is still there.
Noticed yesterday when the fan surges or kicks in that's when I hear it. Almost like a switch on and off.
I think my fan clutch is my culprit?
Thought about rebuilding the turbo and changing the impeller wheel
Can I get some recommendations on which wheel to use and power gains if any
had a truck in the shop with similar problem, when the fan would start pulling a lot of air. ended up finding the impeller on the water pump had moved aft and would intermittently rub on the back cover.
