Installing the radiator core support and need some help.
I am putting my 1966 f100 back together and it has been months since I took it apart. I need a little help. I need to see a diagram of how the core support should fit onto the frame. I think the core support has to be bolted to the frame and I see two big holes where I think it should go, but don't see the matching holes on the base of the core support. Anyone have a diagram that they could post for me?
thanks

I find the diagram in the MPC to be a little too generic.
On my 1966 F250 2WD the core support definitely has 2 bolts holes that line up with those holes on the front of the frame. A large bolt goes from the top, through a special 6-sided conical washer, then a large round flat washer and round rubber biscuit, then the core support, followed by another round rubber biscuit in the middle between core support and frame and another large flat washer and nut on the bottom of the frame. Fairly sure that's how mine goes anyway.
Here's a picture of the bottom side of the core support showing one of those two holes. The lower rubber biscuit is a slightly different internal shape than the upper biscuit so one sort of nests inside of the other where they touch. You can see where I believe the lower biscuit rubs against the core support.

If you have access to the Ford Truck Master Parts Catalog the diagram is in Sec. 160, pg. 5; 1965/1966 Radiator Support Assembly. Unfortunately, I am not computer literate thus unable to post the diagram in the thread. Next best is a pic of the 65 radiator support from my 65. During infancy stage of reconditioning the 65 decided to swap the 65 for a 66 radiator support, 'bad' 'bad' idea, strong suggest not doing same!
In addition; 2 support arms run from the hood release assembly to the lower splash pan.

Thanks for your help with core support diagram.
I know that I can count on the forum to give quick and complete feedback. You fellows came through as always. Your information is exactly what I needed.
Thanks to: TA455HO, daveengelson and number dummy
My frame has been painted and new brakes and brake lines. New shocks tomorrow. The motor should be back from the shop in about two weeks. The motor has an interesting history. I think it was number dummy that decoded the plaque on the side of the motor. It was a 352 that was sent to a rebuild shop and they made it into a 390. My engine guy verified that it is, in fact, a 390.
Thanks for your help.
