I have often come across the term "core support" throughout the forum. However, I have not been able to discern what the term actually refers to ...
Can someone define "core support"?

Here's a picture of one. The core support is mounted to the frame the fenders are mounted to the core support. The upper valance or header is also mounted to the core support as well as the lower valance. The grill gets mounted to the upper and lower valance. The Radiator is mounted to it also.
The core support, supports the front and sides keeping everything together. My explanation is not the best. In my head I know what all happens with the core support.
