1940 1/2 ton

A friend of mine just brought home a 40 1/2 ton. We are looking at it trying to figure out the mounting for the radiator. Is there a core support, or crossmember that goes in front? Any pictures would sure help because he got it with the front clip removed.

There's no core support, like you think of on your 56. The fenders attach with braces off the frame. The radiator attaches directly to the frame as shown in this pic...



and there's a bunch of little braces and panels around the sides and front grille area, to hold everything together, like these...
