I'm looking for an electric air compressor, mainly for my F350 tires. Will use it for other things, but I want to make sure it can at least be used to fill my tires (80psi). On my dakota, I used a bike tire pump to fill them (35psi), but these are much larger and can no longer do that. I can't find a free place for air, so I would rather just get an electric compressor if possible.
Any suggestions on good ones? No real budget if it's quality. Thanks!
if you have the space to put it, get a 220 volt oil compressor with at least a 40 gallon tank. because once you have it you will start using it.
the oil-less units are very loud..
than i would consider one of the onboard air systems offered by viair. i have dual 480 compressors with 12 gallon capacity in my 02 and can run the 1/2 impact gun and take all 4 tires off and put them back on with no problems.
i keep one of those cheap digital tire gauges in each truck. i use the cheap ones so it is no big deal if someone decides to "borrow" it and "forgets" to put it back.
they are accurate enough, all 4 of them are within 2 psi.
