Partially. Mine is still a work in progress. The choke problem was what got me going on the project. Since I also wanted a manual throttle and switch panel without doing any damage to the dash, I bought a piece of aluminum angle to attach under the dash. It was long enough to accommodate the choke, throttle, and many switches. The kits are made to try to work on as many vehicles as possible, so having a bit of imagination and mechanical ability helps a lot. I also bought some other cables with metal ***** as the plastic ones often fail in service. The only part completed thus far is the choke. You'll have to route the cable to make the bends as gradual as possible. Some adaptations may be required depending on your truck's engine's configuration. Proof test the cable's freedom before making it permanent. The installation is not easy, but once completed the choke function will be in your hand. You can put it in whatever position is needed to make the engine run properly. As long as your understand the choke's function your choke problems will be in the past. Best wishes.

Check the I post with a volt meter on the solenoid while someone is holding the key to start. It should read full battery voltage.

Another question...can I use starting fluid to test for low fuel pressure? I have no gauges or anything like that. If it smooths out when it gets the spray, it obviously is not getting enough fuel. I know you guys said not to but it's the easiest option.

I think your best option would be to go to an auto parts store and grab a vacuum gauge that will read fuel pressure. Oreillys has a great one with a big display for around $30. That would be the easiest, safest and most accurate way to read what your fuel pressure is. I suppose your method would indicate lacking fuel, but it won't pinpoint fuel pressure. It could easily be other symptoms like a dirty or poorly adjusted carb etc.
