97-2002 mech changes
97 Ford Ranger 2.3 liter 4 X 2, 5 speed M5OD. What were the mechanical changes between ’97 and 2002. I’m looking to buy a truck with common parts and service with my ’97.

97-2002 mech changes
Then buy a 97 or older. 98 + was some big changes in the suspension. Motors and trannys are about the except the 2.3 became the 2.5. In the last part of 2001 Ford used a differnet 2.3 instead of the 2.5 and the newer 2.3 has nothing in common with the older 2.3
