2007 VS 2008?

Checking to see if anyone can tell me any benefits to the 2008 over the previous generation. I recently totaled my 2005 6.0 which I loved but I want to switch to a V-10. Other than cosmetics is there much difference between an 07 and a 08? Telescoping mirrors maybe?

I want at least an 05 but just want to make sure I am not missing out on too much if I go for a pre 08.

Thanks

There is no difference in the v10 performance wise or reliability wise. Basically what the difference between the trucks is in styling in the interior and in the body.

The front end is different that the 07 in lights grill fenders and where the hood sits compared to the front of an 07.

The interior of the 08 is a totallly different then the 07 from the steering wheel, dash, cluster, lighting seats and controls for power accessories ( ie locks, windows, etc and of course their is also a different look on the drivers steering wheel controls vs how the 07 were styled.

The only thing that did change was midway though 08 they changed to a 1 piece spark plug to eliminate the plugs breaking when they were being changed there is a tool to deal with the broken plugs. The interior in the 08-10 is completely different but I think the 08-10 front ends are ugly as a redheaded step child I'd go 05-07 you won't have the nicer interior but you'll have a better looking truck in my opinion anyway, good luck in your search took me 4 months to find my v10.

The 2008+ trucks got larger cooling systems.

The V-8/V-10 spark plug issue isn't a big deal. Just make sure they were replaced with the more modern design.

THanks for the info. Just wanted to see if there was anything beyond the styling. I too prefer the 07 grill and I don't mind the older interior. Not a lot of people selling their V10s around here either. There is a 06 and an 08 out there right now that I want to look at when I hear back from the insurance company.

The rear springs are longer as well in the 08+ truck

V10s are a bitch to find. I like them as well. I have owned a half dozen of the 99-07 rigs and much prefer the 08-10 these days.

That's no joke took me 4 months but I got everything I wanted zero rust v-10 and even the color except leather. And it seems the 05-07 are even harder to find than the 99-04's.
