Wet Floorboard!
2003 F250 reg cab in sig
Passenger floorboard was wet when I bought it. In January.....I figured from PO getting in and out with wet boots maybe.
It hasn't been wet again until today after about 14 straight days of rain. Peeled up carpet. Wet all the way to firewall, but firewall isn't wet anywhere. Flipped passenger seat up and peeled up carpet and trim. Water has evidently been leaking from the seam below the windshield where the cab was assembled. Fixed with gray permatex. Inside and outside. Heads up to all you fellas with wet floorboards.
The 3 times I got water in the cab from a leak.
The first one was a truck that got tipped onto the passenger side
and cracked the sealant of the rail gutter. It was an 1988 Ranger.
The next two times both were Explorers and plugged sun/moon roof
drain lines. One even had some shrinkage and I had to extend the line.
Anyway if you have access to a compressor and have a helper. Take a
air blow gun with a pointed tip and move it around seams and have you
outside help spray some diluted bubble water or dish soap. The just look
for the places where it bubbles. You should be able to even do this with a
vacuum cleaner exhaust port with a hose and an end for inflating rubber boats.
Hope your feet stay dry.
