Leaking EVERYWHERE

I've read a few sticky's and lots of posts... I haven't quite attacked it yet but I thought I would get some opinions. Lots of pics of engine, mostly passenger side, but all the drips seem to be coming from the 4 bolts on the rear of the oil pan. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. The picture of my floor is after it sat for about 12 hours.

That's after running til hot... it'll leave that much after sitting, but if i fire it up and move it now, and **** it off, it'll leave much less oil, so obviously leaks more when hot then works its way to the bottom to slowly drip.

05' 6.0L High mileage!

THANKS in advance.

Upon further review, that orange wire, which i think leads to either the crank or cam position sensor appears to be wet around the threads (or maybe it's a block heater). The same hold (that has a plug) on the drivers side appears to be wet around threads.

Though it makes me think the leak is coming from somewhere around the top (Maybe HPOP) because on most of the bottom exhaust manifold bolts (both sides) ave oil appeare to be collecting on them. However, the channels on the top of the engine are clean, so I'm not sure at this point.

The Turbo was just replaced before we acquired the truck, kinda wish they had fixed the leak while everything was out!

I'm having trouble getting oriented on your pictures, especially with my truck 250 miles away. I was having half dollar size drips after running, right below tranny bell housing. Thought I had a bed plate leak because it was traveling down that joint on both sides. I replaced the camshaft sensor and it helped but the worst offender was the crankshaft position sensor. Had the shop do that as it looked like more than I wanted to chew. Best advice I read on here was to start at the top front and work your way back. Good luck.

Thanks for the initial diagnoses with my crap pictures haha. Valve covers would make sense though. The cam/crank shaft sensors are wet, but it is very wet above and in front of them. Being as though the exhaust manifolds all have a good concentration of oil on them, and the top of the engine is dry, the valve covers are a good thought. Considering they are pretty simple to change, I will likely give that a go!

I'll keep this updated once I've had some time to attack it.

Remember that you do not want to over torque those bolts. It's not a huge torque value and it basically amounts to snug, anything more you might be stripping threads which can be a real PITA.

Thanks for the heads up, lets hope that's not the reason they are leaking.

Look at the oil cooler adapter from the front of the engine, passenger side, between the block and the intake manifold. You can see the forward right corner of the oil cooler adapter from there. See if it's wet with oil while running. I've seen so many oil cooler adapter seals deteriorate and leak over the years.

Or it could have one of the bad Dorman gaskets in it waiting to really go bad.

Mine was leaking at the rear corners of the HPOP cover. A little dab of sealant during reinstall fixed the problem. No more oil stains in the driveway!
