Just started driving this truck 2 months ago, first ride cruise engaged but coast button increased speed. Next couple of drives cruise would not engage then it engaged turn completely intermittent. Cruise buttons were nasty and sticky so replaced them with new motorcraft parts from Rock Auto and this changed nothing except the coast button now did nothing. Self check wouldn't work. Checked brake pedal and redundant master cylinder switch and they were good. Replaced the clock spring and the test drive was good with all functions working including the coast button.
Steering wheel buttons are nice but I would think a cruise stick off the column might be more reliable.
O yea the tilt lever was stripped more parts.
