Ball Joint removing question?

Ball Joint removing question?
I got everything off including lower joint nut and snap ring and castle nut for the upper joint. I'm just not sure how to get these off the knuckle. I figure that I should just pound on the top bolt, but I wanted to make sure. I have no idea about the bottom. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks.

Ball Joint removing question?
I don't know what truck you're working on, but on my 4x4 '87 BII TTB front end, I used a pickle fork at this point to pop the steering knuckle out of the beam.
