64-66 Styleside Tool Box - WTB
Hey Everyone,
Hope all are well. I am looking for and wanting to buy a style side tool box for my 66 LWB. I know its already tough enough to find one in decent shape with all the mounting brackets - buuuuuuuuut wondering if anyone has one available and in the Marlin/Medium Blue Color (Color Code W)?

Be aware that there are two different lengths (one for the short bed, another for the long bed) for these tool compartments that were introduced in 1964 F100/250 2WD Stylesides.

Yep - thanks ND - I was looking at your other posts/forums regarding the tool box and saw a lot of info there including the exploded view diagram you posted.
The LWB tool box is 12" long correct?

Not sure what measurement you are after, but the outside length from flange to flange of the long wheelbase tool compartment is 34.5". My truck came with one and then, as you might guess, I came up with an NOS one as well. Both measure the same on the outer length.

I wish I had an OG blue one. Of course, shipping between me and you would be crazy anyway. I'm still mulling the antenna and how to best get that to you.
I did come up with the other set of hardware in a pre-pack that included the latch and keys to fix my original. This set also had the template used to figure out where to cut the bed for the tool compartment. This picture shows you all the mounting hardware that is used (x2).
Sort of cool stuff. I also have the template for the short wheelbase version, too. And another of the parts breakouts with installation instructions. Not so yellowed like the first one I got.

i just bought this beautiful truck less then a week ago and was searching short bed tool boxes. Truck is a 64 shortbed and was unsure if it was original. Now I know it is.
