Electrical gremlin

I have a 2002 excursion 7.3 that has been acting weird. About 6 times now it has had the radio shut down followed by the ABS light coming on then the gauges dying, then the power windows stop work then the blower fans quite. truck runs the whole time. A few minutes later it all comes back at once. I've already fixed the over drive wire. batteries are 9 months old and test fine. Alternator was 9 months old but test bad so I've replaced it. since replacing the alternator it has done this twice and then today when trying to start it, it tried to turn over but wouldn't turn over or state. Then 2 minutes later start like nothing was wrong. Batteries read 12+ volt, cranks normal. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have a scanner that can talk to the Dash pod, to see what codes may be stored in it? In the 02's it has its own computer and can set codes, as well it has the Accessory delay Relay built into it.
Forscan software is free for the Basic Version and an OBD Adapter for your laptop can get to any codes contained in the dashpod to get a starting point.

Keep searching here on FTE to find the Complete Wiring Diagrams for the 02 chassis, I know they are out there because this is where I found mine.

because yours is an 02 you may want to check the junction block in this thread. Your engine kept running so it may not apply but take a look
