Replacing all my brake lines and was just wondering what you guys thought was the best line to use. I was thinking stainless but I heard it's hard to work with. Copper nickel looks easier but I don't know how durable it is. And then there's steel.
I don't know about where you are located but locally the green stuff is epoxy coated steel, a cheap alternative to the galvanized steel lines.
Curpro-Nickel is a silvery copper colour. It's much easier to work with than steel and way easier than stainless, it's less prone to kinking, flares easier than steel or stainless and seals up easier requiring less torque on fittings. You should try to use epoxy coated fittings if you can, to reduce the chance of galvanic reaction between the line and the fittings, this is more critical if the lines will see exposure to road salt. If installed correctly it is more than a life time installation and be around long after the vehicle it's self has rusted away to dust.
