Translate my codes ???
'90 300 I-6 w/ E4OD transmission
I have the following codes, any ideas on what they mean ??
No KoEo codes
Continuous codes are:
49- SPOUT signal default to 10 degreees BTDC
or
1-2 shift error [E4OD ]
59- 2-3 shift error [E4OD]
or
Low Speed fuel pump failure
62- Converter clutch error [E4OD]
Since I have the E4OD transmisssion and all three codes indicate a problem with transmission, I suspect my problem has something to do with the transmission [duh !!!] Problem is I do not feel any problems with the transmission. I was checking codes because of slightly rough idle, tough to start/stalls cold, a bit of hesitation on acceleration. Any ideas, gents ??
Haven't checked running codes yet, too cold outside.

For what it's worth.......
I'm a new convert to this forum---replacing my 81 f-150 351w with a 94 F-150 efi I6 I recently purchased.
While I was "looking" at this truck it seemed to have some tranny issues and therefore I convinced the car lot to sell me the truck at a GREATLY DISCOUNTED price.
I purchased the "new" truck and promptly took it to my transmission shop.
As it turns out, my tranny guy said he's seen ALOT of these transmissions and the MAJORITY of them have bad wiring harnesses.
He replaced the harness in my truck and said it cured just about all of the shifting issues (there are some other things he's still working on).
I'd get on the phone or go visit some GOOD local tranny shops and see if you can "pick their brains" to see if the "bad wiring harness" syndrome may be your problem.
I'm NO expert, just sharing some info passed on to me.
Good luck and PLEASE post how and what you did to get rid of the codes !!!!
