Help with VIN

I am having trouble with decoding my VIN. Any help would be great. The code I am getting hung up on is the consecutive unit number FC2914.

Why are you getting hung up on the serial number?
FC2914 is correct for the '79 model year. It was made late in the year. '79s go from DC0,001 to FK9,000.

G = 302 2V

U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.

FC2914 = 1979.

133" Wheelbase.
