I got bias ply just because I wanted the old look because that was what was always on the truck. On the panel there were radials on it when I got it. I bought a set of el cheapo Mexican bias ply and the truck drove a lot better. I do remember the brand of radials they were. Since buying the tires for the F-2 I've some radials I think k would pretty good on it.

I can't see my tires while I'm driving. But radials run cooler, brake and steer better, last longer, and ride smoother. I can feel all that every minute I'm driving. Not a hard choice IMO.

You forgot, radials get better fuel economy. Radials are readily available in most sizes.

I took the centers out of a pair of 17" wheels for my brothers '47 1 ton, modified and welded them in 16" rims. We were amazed at how much better it drove with radial tires just on the front. It handled so much better and there were no flat spots on the tires after setting a day or two that thumped until they warmed up. The truck was totally stock otherwise.

Same size and style that I have on my 50F2. The truck rides very nice and relatively smooth especially for a 3/4 ton suspension.
