Ok,,,,, I know it's probably here somewhere, I just couldn't locate. I want to change my front and rear lighting to led's. I know I need some type of resistor to make my wiring think it's using incandescent. But I'm not sure about the wiring for the resistors. Do I need a resistor for each bulb, or just one per circuit?
Why would you need a resistor? Every vehicle Ive done LED turn signals on I never had to run them. Maybe its because I run the so called 80 watt 1157 bulbs you find on Ebay that has four chips under a domed projector lens and then LEDs around the side. It also could be the fact that I run an aftermarket replacement flasher unit its a variable load flasher.
Like wise if you couldn't get it to work still they sell a LED flasher that has a pigtail that you ground to the chassis that will make the flasher flash reguardless
Thanks Rusty S. I got the bulbs (sylvania 1157 Red and Amber). I installed the red and everything was ok. I installed the front today and no flashing. Guess that's why I need the new flasher. Do you know a part number??? Or just look for a generic?

For blinkers, you need specific fuses so the truck can read led's. I'll get a pic of the ones needed. I converted to led also
specific fuses? there is no special fuse needed to run LED or Incadescent bulbs.
For use with LEDs, you have to run either a LED flasher with a pigtail out the top of it to ground or you get a generic variable load flasher. There is no such thing as a specific flasher now a days everyone is a variable load that will vary the load internally to flash the same speed reguardless if you are flashing two bulbs or 6 bulbs at a time. Unlike factory where they flash faster with more bulbs than fewer.
For the flashers the following are what you need one or the other. Personally I would go with the one with the pig tail to be safe as I have seen some people have problems with variable load flashers but I personally never have had a problem.
