2005 6.0 no start
I replaced my FICM from Ed, new FICM relay, new Alternator, 2 new batteries, new starter. Cranks but no start. Here are my PID values;
IPR-83.9
ICPV-0.28
ICP-196psi
FICM-48.4
FICM SYNC-0
The two fault codes are for ICP and Crankshaft.
Looks like my IPR is almost closed at 83.9. I ordered the IPR socket and new screen kit. Am I missing anything else?
Thanks in advance!
Mike

You need to start with an air test, in my opinion. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will speak up also.

A couple questions that I think guys/gals are going to want answers to would be:
1) Is it an 05 motor or an 04 in an 05 truck? There should be a sticker on the passenger side valve cover stating what year.
2) Have the stand pipes and dummy plugs been replaced?
3) Where are you located? A lot of guys really like to help in person and you could be neighbors with one.

I'm in Gig Harbor, WA near Tacoma, Wa. I'm the original owner. May 2005 motor and I bought new on 5 July 2005.
I've had the crank no start hot issue for awhile until I fried my FICM. Sent it out to Ed and got the Atlas 40 tune as well as the FICM rebuilt/repaired.
The truck is stock; no upgraded stand pipes or dummy plugs.
I finally got the Torque Pro app to give me the PID values in my first post.

From my experience on here I would say your HPOP is most likely not an issue because of the year.
I believe the dummy plugs and stand pipes can still be an issue with 2005.
The truck should be at over 500 psi with 22-25% IPR, I believe. Your IPR is trying to make up for the oil leak by closing all the way. The STC fitting at the HPOP is the most likely culprit on your year vehicle, from what I've seen on here.
It's not the end of the world to get to and work on if you have some mechanical aptitude. I have gone down to my oil pump and I am now getting ready to replace an injector, after resealing all the injector O-rings; and this is the first diesel I've ever worked on. I'm not a huge motorhead, I am doing my own work to save money.
I believe there is information on performing a pressure test in the sticky notes; or, you can look up DieselTechRon on YouTube. He has saved me thousands of dollars, along with all the people on here.

This is for my own curiosity:
If the ICP is reading pressure wrong, wouldn't the truck still start if the IPR is being commanded to 83%? No leak and an incorrect reading would result in a pressure in excess of 3000 psi. Would that not result in the vehicle starting, but just getting bad readings?
I guess the easy question is......
Can pressure in extreme excess of 500psi result in a no start also?

Heads up on the ICP pressure test fitting. I was able to go to a local hydraulic hose shop and they had the parts on the shelf and I believe I walked out for under $15. If I was going to order one I would order the unit that threads into where the IPR is located, I think it makes it easier to diagnose a problem and you don't have to command the IPR closed and risk burning it up.
