If the ICP is reading pressure wrong, wouldn't the truck still start if the IPR is being commanded to 83%? ?
PCM has to see that 500psi before it turns on injectors so it looks Directly at ICPV
ICP has 5volt V-ref for quality control
IPR isn't monitored for quality Directly at the valve so it wont use its value like that
Plus its not programmed that way and cant be programmed that way really by operating characteristics

it would start until the IPR or something blew out
I'm aware of the 6.4 starter spinning faster, it wasn't in stock when I bought the replacement starter. What is the normal starting RPMs?? I'm only getting 150-170
My 6.0 has been flawless until I started having the crank no start when hot issue. After the truck would cool down it would start. I'm guessing I need stand pipes and dummy plugs. I never got around to installing those and excessive cranking killed my FICM. So I had my FICM repaired by Ed, bought a new alt, new batteries, new 6.0 starter.... Now I have the Torque Pro app for PIDs.
I would remove the FICM relay until you resolve the HPOP issue or else you will be sending the FICM back to Ed. All that cranking will end up killing it again.
It's cranking between 155 - 175 rpm's. I replaced my starter with a 6.0 starter. The 6.4 starters were not in stock. Hind site, I should have waited for a 6.4 starter since they spin faster.
I was able to remove the passenger side dummy plug. The old (original) passenger side dummy plug has no rips or tears on the O rings. However, they appear to me more flat than the OEM replacement dummy plugs. I put in the new passenger side dummy plug and now trying to remove the passenger side Stand Pipe. It hits the fire shield. Should I remove the stand pipe in 2 pieces?? I would like to put the new stand pipe in (itch has the white washers) because the O rings look flatter than the new OEM replacement O rings. Any thoughts???
Ok, looks like the improvements are only to the top part of the stand pipe. I removed the top part and replaced with the improved top part. Putting the passenger side back together. I will try and start it once put back together. I will report back what happens!!
