My 94 Bronco blower lost high speed in AC mode (I didn't try heater since it's summer in Texas). All other settings seem to work.
This could be the switch itself or the blower controller/resisters or something else.
I know some people here must have same problem before and wonder if you could share your experience as how to diagnose what's wrong and how to fix it? Thanks!
My 1985 f 150 fan quit working on high, and the culprit was the wiring going to the switch was burned at the plug. So check both switch and plug. Good luck TR
I think I misrepresented my problem again (sorry) since I am not driving this car anymore.
Here is the real deal: the blower speed switch works fine, each step produce the right speed.
It's the AC/Heater selection switch that has problems: the MAX A/C setting doesn't produce higher blower speed, so the NORM A/C and MAX A/C are the same now, doesn't have any difference!
Also when in A/C mode (NORM or MAX), the air may get redirected to floor or somewhere else without a reason and I can hear some door flap movement inside. Is this a vacuum problem? Where is the control?
I just found one problem: the small white vacuum tube going to the HVAC Recirculation Door Actuator was broken. I reconnected it with a flexible tubing.
But this doesn't seem to fix the problem: there is still no difference between NORM and MAX A/C.
Also I didn't see the actuator move doesn't matter where I set the switch, I unplug the tube and didn't feel any vacuum in it either. I didn't find the source for the vacuum. Any idea?
