A/C switch, high or nothin' ....?!?!

As I crawl sheepishly back to the forum....

My A/C / heater/ fan speed switch is working erratically. If I put it on high, it works fine. The other 3 positions on the switch aren't working. Sometimes it will work for a minute or two in one of the lower settings, but then nothing. High speed has always worked regardless. HELP!

On another note.... I finally fixed that darn peek-a-boo odometer with help from these forums. You guys are awesome! Thanks much!

You have an intermittent open circuit in the blower motor resistor circuit.

Check the connector on the resistor pack to be sure it's seated and not damaged.

Check the connector on the back of the blower switch.

If neither of those work out, the resistor pack is probably intermittently bad. Look for it directly forward of the glovebox by standing on your head and looking under the dash directly behind the glovebox.
