97 5.4L tranny swap with a 92 e4od?

Will a 92 e4od match up with my 97 f150? What would i have to do to make it work if possible at all?

What engine did the trans come from? What trans is in the '97? If the '92 came from a 5.4L, and the '97 already has an E4OD, then it's possible. And both have to be 4x4 or both 4x2.

The electronics are different. The solenoid body changed and the MLPS on the side of the trans is different. You will need the '97 parts, they will fit and work fine.

I think the guy told me it was from a 92 5.0L. Just wanted to make sure before i bought anything. How hard is it to change the parts over from my 97?

It's impossible to bolt a trans from a 5.0L to a 5.4L. Let this one go.
