97 e4od in 91 f150
i have a 97 e4od that i want to put in a 91 f150 in place of a 91 e4od and was wondering what i would have to do to make this swap work i know everything bolts up fine but am worried about the electronics and connectors so if anyone knows what i need to know i would appreciate it thanks

The MLPS connector changed in '95. The '97 has all the good mods in it from the factory. The solenoid pack on the '97 is slightly different electronically. They moved the protection diodes out of the solenoid pack and mounted them in PCM in '95 also.
You can get around the MLPS issue by reusing your old one. I suggest you use your old solenoid pack too.

The MLPS is mounted on the driver side of the transmission. Should be only a few screws. There is an alignment tab on it to make it easier to get back in the correct position. The solenoid pack would entail dropping the pan on both transmissions, then swapping them.
