Helped my buddy rebuild his 7.3
Got the motor back in and when started it, it dumped all the oil out in about 20 seconds. So we dropped the tranny and put a new rear main seal in. Filled the oil and it gets dumped in 20 seconds again. Anybody ever have this problem or any ideas as to where it could be coming from? I really don't want to pull that motor again
If one of those plugs was missing, it would never start. So, for real, how much oil did it lose in what amount of time? Was it really all the oil, literally in 20 seconds?
Loose Oil plug, end of head... like 1 1/2 " round... or maybe blown oil ring in high pressure line to rear on passenger side... but I can't imagine not getting some oil in valley with it leaking. Same with pedestal... valley would have oil in it.
Hope you didn't blow all that out on the Wife's pretty clean white concrete driveway... omg..
