Has anyone purchased a rear bumper for a styleside from Macs Auto Parts and brackets from LMC? I have a 70 Custom and the brackets do not line up at all on the bumper side. I'm hoping it's just the brackets so I don't have to ship back a bumper. I ordered a new kit from DC and I'm sending back the one from LMC.

Original Ford parts: Styleside contour rear bumper and brackets are the same: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD; 1966 F100 4WD; 1967/72 F100/250 2WD/4WD
I bought mounting brackets off this ebay seller recently:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1972-Ford-Fleetside-Pickup-Rear-Bumper-Bracket-Set/151629917822?_trksid=p3693.c100102.m2452&_trkparms=ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140212121249%26meid%3D75080203115b4232af86482274bbf96b%26pid%3D100102%26
I had to grind some off the 'curve' off of the ends that attached to the bumper to get a tight fit but otherwise they mounted up the frame just fine. It took just a little adjustment but it it's nice and straight now.
I sent the first set of brackets back to LMC and received a new set from DC. Same exact set came from DC. They look exactly like your set wjwolfe82.
Here are some pictures that show how they clearly do not line up with the bumper holes. Note: they fit just fine on the frame. Thinking maybe I got the wrong bumper from Mac's??? I'm confused.
The first two pictures show how the OTHER bolt hole lines up when the first one is lined up perfectly. You can see how off the other hole is when the first is set correctly in both cases. Picture #4 reveals the angled gap that would be on the inside top of the bumper.
Any suggestions? Is this how other's have looked???
The last picture is the only digits found on the bumper. Not sure if that code tells us anything about the bumper....
Perhaps you have a Dentside bumper that's for a 37.5" width frame instead of a Bumpside bumper that would be for a 33.5" width frame. Or, maybe you have a bumper for a Bumpside and mounting brackets for a Dentside (?).
The Bumpside and Dentside contour rear bumpers are the same width and shape but, the bolt hole spacing for the mounting brackets will be wider apart for the Dentside bumper compared to a Bumpside.
Contour rear bumper and bumper brackets I bought through NPD.
I bought my brackets from Dennis Carpenter and the bumpers from Goodmark Industries. The brackets were terrible. Holes lined up more or less but the metal surfaces were not flush. Angles were out. I was afraid to tighten the bolts and bend the bumper. The outbound brace angles were way off. I cut mine up and rewelded them. I also used those wavy washers between the brackets and the bumper. In the end the bumper ended up tipped forward a bit but it was the best I could do with those brackets.

Reason: added
Look how much the bottom was out. And the outward brace was poorly bent and didn't line up nice. I cut it right in half, bolted both sides on and tacked it back together and reinforced it.
My bumper is original ('69) and I had to grind down the 'tab' at the hole on the bracket for the lower bolt for the bumper to fit onto it. The outer arms just took a little man-handing to fit...just had to put them on loose at first.
