hi, i am clueless when it comes to anything with vehicles... i have a 1998 explorer sport and i want to replace the speakers. actually i want to replace the whole stereo system but i am starting with the speakers. could someone tell me where to begin? what size speakers do i need and what brand do you reccomend? any helps appreciated! thanks!
I would first start with the radio. Then see how the speakers sound. You might be suprised but if you still dont like the sound then you can go about replacing the front speakers but you will need to know if you want to put an amp to the speakers or not. That will help you decide what speakers to get. You might change the radio, then speakers and still not be happy and need an amp or change the radio and get the right speakers and be happy without an amp. Polk makes some real nice sounding speakers that sound great without an amp or infinity referance series.
Crutchfield is a great place to buy a radio from and you can learn some basic info about there products and you can use that info to shop around when you know what you want.
well i already blew the speakers.. so.. i need new ones... how do you know what kind of stereo you have? i went to that website but i dont know if i have premium or not.....
