Under dash A/C
Yes, take some pics, please! Ford went through several changes on how they mounted the AC compressor. I've seen them on passenger side up high, and driver's side. York mounts are OK as you can use the common adapter to get to a Sanden.
My home build bracket should work and it mounts in there where I want it to be. I still need to figure out the upper radiator hose and fanbelt. The belt shouldn't be hard, but dunno just yet about the hose; I might have to use a piece of tubing and join 2 of 'em together.
I am retired Navy and have been trying to catch a hop to RAF Mildenhall, England the past few days. I got a seat, but the dang plane is broke down (KC-135 refueler). Frustrating, but I really, really would like them to make sure it's fixed before I get on! I came back home last night (~3 hr drive), so not sure if I'll go back, but hate to give up that seat! Hey, the price is right, and the uncertainty is part of the adventure...
My truck is an 82 and the one i took it off of was an 82.
If the picture you attahed is what you need, I'm pretty sure that style was there as well. I cant be sure, but im 75% those brackets were in a truck that I looked at...
Like I said, I am not even close to a mechanic so i am refrencing another 82 truck that is just like mine(82 f250, 4.9L 300).....but with air..hahaha!
That being said...
They have an 80' & 81' as well. One of them had a different bracket ( 75% sure it was that bracket you attached) then the truck i pulled one from. There was an 85' bracket that was wayyy different as well.
When i go there again, I'll take a pic for you and show it to you. If its what you need, I'll pull it if you wish.
Thanx for your help with this...
Bryan
You can tell the York from the other as the York is big square box of a compressor the other is round like the one fljb posted.
Thanks

BTW mine is a 81 300 six and think 80 is the same.
As the title of this post said “under dash AC” is the way to go or vintage air http://www.vintageair.com/ Set up that replaces the stock heater box if your truck did not have factory AC to start with.
I say this becausemy truck did not have factory AC. I wanted to install the factory AC from myparts truck and the fire walls are different between the two. My fix was to swap fire wall from AC truck to mine. Not easy for the average guy working out of his garage.
