I was wondering if there are any good, quality, Bluetooth scanners you guys would recommend and what apps you use with them...thanks in advance.
If you're specifically looking for a scanner, I don't have any experience. If you're looking for something that will scan and clear codes in addition to monitoring PIDs, several of us use Torque Pro for Android devices while others use Dashboss for Apple devices. It's been mentioned quite frequently that Forscan is a free download able program that is good. I'm not sure if that is for use with Bluetooth or WiFi or cabled directly to the OBDII port.
Do you mean Bluetooth OBDII adapter? If so I've been using Elm327 orange and blue ones sold on Amazon. I have both WiFi and Bluetooth and they work smoothly.
Like mentioned Torque Pro has been popular but I'm liking Forscan better. They offer a FREE windows version and a Forscanlite app for Android and IPhone.
Try a search since Forscan has come up a few times lately. Here's a little more info. link to Forscan info
ditto here on Torque Pro: a whole $4.95 and a cheap ELM 327 V1.5 BT adapter. The Forscan gauges are crude, imo to what you can have on Torque -- I particularly like the gauge types that keep a high/low value in the gauge and a digital readout combo with sweep style graphic display.
I might try Forscan for diagnostics -- I have it loaded on a laptop, but, Torque is doing more than I need already. 1/10th of a second (or you pick) data capture rate to a file ? load that in to Excel and analyze away...
I've been using a cheap blue ELM327 with Torque Pro for a couple years, like it a lot
I also use the same setup, and like it a lot. Helped with deltas and pulling codes. Followed Diesel Tech Rons vids on how to set it up and it worked like a champ.
