TFL Truck Releases speculative 6.7L power and torque numbers

From their 'inside' source, the claim is near 500HP and greater than 1000lb-ft. That would indeed be pretty spectacular. Granted, this is unconfirmed.

420 HP
460 lbs Torq

Would be absolutely perfect but I am betting 420 / 450 with the current 6 speed and they will open the programming up when the 10 speed comes out in 2018. Then it will be closer to 450/480 I am betting, and no I don't know anything just guessing / hoping.

Why are you guys so convinced there is a 10-speed transmission going into the Super Duty? I've not heard one report of this. Highly unlikely the 10-speed which has been developed for the F-150 / Raptor could begin to handle the upgraded torque output of the Powerstroke.

I don't think it will be available for the Power Stroke but for the "G" rated transmission I think it will be available.

GM is using it in the 640 HP Camaro so I would think it would be fine 450/480 6.2 in the super duty.

Can't consider just the horsepower and torque numbers. A gas super duty is rated to carry the entire weight of that Camaro in its bed, plus tow several more of them, plus move the 7k weight of the truck itself. The Camaro transmission has the much easier job.

Sure hope so.. Need those towing numbers so I can verify my configuration will be good and I can get my order placed. Maybe I'll have to take Monday afternoon off to go to the dealer.

2017 Eco 3.6 is rated at 375/470. I suspect the gasser 6.2 won't be long for this world but should be north of 500tq

The EcoBoost is actually 3.5 liters. Not sure why you think the 6.2 would be north of 500lb-ft? Frankly, I'd be very surprised if it was 450lb-ft and completely shocked if it reached 500lb-ft. Currently it makes 405lb-ft while the original 3.5L pickup EcoBoost makes 420lb-ft...so there is no precedent for your belief.

True but with everything being about besting last years model AND that small thing about the truck being redesigned... I would think it would hurt market share to come out with minimal gains. And yes, typo on the 3.6. With the 2017 F150 getting more and more twist it will make it hard for me to go to a SD unless it is diesel. First world problems... My hope is that the SD numbers increase enough to continue to be top of the heap.

I don't think the 6.2L is capable of 500lb-ft with natural aspiration.
