Hey, I'm new here. I have a question. I want to swap my zf5 out of my 94 f150 4.9 with a t18 out of an 88 f150 with a 4.9. Will it bolt up with no issues?
The short answer is yes. The long answer is you need a SBF bell housing. Plus what ever it takes to make the hydraulic clutch work. Plus making a cross member to work with the T19 and then making up drive shafts. The Zf-5 in my mind is a better transmission. So why would you want to go back to a 4 speed

IIRC it's a different length (both front and rear) drive shaft as well.

Reverse grinds real bad when I let off my clutch I'm not sure what that is but I'd like to fix it. It will go in reverse and back up just a little bit but when i let off more to gain speed on reverse it grinds
Let's revisit your opening statement "I want to swap my zf5 out of my 94 f150 4.9"
F150s did not come from the factory with a ZF, it's a Mazda M5OD. Unless someone did a swap, you have the Mazda transmission.
Appreciate it man the more I know the better. Any clue why my transmission grinds in reverse. Goes Into reverse but grinds while I'm letting off clutch
No idea on the cause just wanted to point out you should have a M5OD. Removing the top plate for inspection may reveal some clues. An easy one....check the fluid level.
M5OD should be much easier to find and much cheaper than a ZF.
