so my 2017 company work truck was ordered 4/20. heres the following info from the order sheet my fleet manager sent me:
order No: 0000
priority: 10
Dealer: F48032
order type: 1
order code: 603a
whats with the order number being all zeros? is this info enough to get anything from ford Chat? all i have heard from muy fleet manager is that the dealer said it will be one if their firsrt arriving 2017's.
My dealer has ordered 2 fleet trucks, both on 6/29. They have order numbers 1629 and 1630. Both have priority codes H5. I don't think 10 is a fleet code. Every order should have a number assigned. I'm not sure they gave you all the info.
The order number has more to do with the individual dealerships' ability to track vehicles in their system. My order number is C000 which has my last name initial and the first PO number in their system for 2017. It is also a priority 10 which is why there has not been a vin or date established until the "OK to sell" is issued by the KTP.
Yep, Order numbers have no affect on you. I order mine F701 (F for Frantz, 7 for 2017, and 01 as the sequence of which ordered unit for the year it is).
Just a way to quickly look up orders and a way to designate that it goes to one of my customers when it comes in.
Priority 10 is the best customer order priority you can have. It means that for that specific dealers customer orders yours will be first in the orders received for that model. If you have a 19 it wouldn't always mean your last though either. If the dealership does all 10s then its just first in first out. If they do all 19s its the same. Some places might do 19s as standard in case an order comes in damaged so they can push a reorder to the front of the line. But again, it's all based on that specific dealerships order banks, and would not relate to any priority codes at any other dealers.
I'm just learning all this with the new SD's. So a fleet order can be priority 10, it is not just the lowest number associated with retail customer orders?
i trtied top use the chat feature to see about getting an update on the order, the guy gave me a customer relationship 1800 number and ended the chat. wtf?
It really isn't something to pester Ford about. Ask your dealer if there is any update. Since they haven't hit the production line yet you're a bit far ahead. Additionally, regardless of when they say it should come, it won't get there there it does. I've seen there dates off by months from time to time. I know its exciting to wait, but you gotta be patient.

Priority 10 is a retail order; same as me. My family member who is handling my order emailed their rep and the rep replied "any day now" for when retail orders will get VINs/scheduled.

so I just went to the website for the dealer i know my fleet guy orders fromand found they have three 2017s listed and shown as "in transit" there is a Ruby Red one that is remarkably almost the same options as i picked with the exception of a few things (either my fleet guy changed some stuff, or the system screwed up?) either way, I know have a window sticker and VIN for what i believe to be my 2017... now what link do i use to track it?
