I have a 2011 Ford Explorer XLT with MyTouch. Saturday morning I had air conditioning at all levels of speed. Saturday night I lost all functions of blowing air. It's dead silent. So no AC no heat at any speed. No defrost. We also noticed that the outside temperature reading was now reading dashes and we had lost the heated seats as well.
We tested a few of the applicable fuses and they were fine. We did a master reset on the ford mytouch. We are thing it might be the ambient temperature sensor but we aren't sure. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Have you replaced your battery recently? A lot of strange electrical issues can be due to weak batteries, and the stock batteries seem to fail pretty quickly in recent FoMoCos. My 2011 Taurus SHO (same platform as your Explorer) needed a new battery in 2014 with fewer than 10,000 miles on the odometer. I've read in the forums of others with similar failure rates (although with higher miles). If you're still on your original battery I'd start by replacing it. It wouldn't be a waste of money since even by "old" standards it would be due real soon anyway.
