95 explorer starting problem
I have a 1995 ford explorer that has recently developed a starting problem. when you turn the key to start the vehicle it barely wants to turn over like the battery is going dead but it eventually starts. the vehicle also has a power loss every time you go to start it ( the clock resets to 12:00 and you lose all the presets on the radio). I dont think its the battery but I could be wrong. thanks for everyones input.

Could be the alternator. It drains the battery which causes the vehicle to go dead. A new one is around $85 USD if you take off your old one and use it kinda like a trade in. On Explorers they are not hard to put on or take off because they sit on top. Try replacing it if you haven't already.

Sounds like my wife's Explorer... Can this type of problem happen one day then be OK for weeks and then happen again? That's what I'm dealing with... Once I jump it the car runs fine and then after driving home it starts right up perfectly... Then it happens again a few weeks later...
