So I broke the heat riser (part 9A427). I have a new exhaust Y pipe (Walker 40555) but since the exhaust mani is totally flat without that riser part(which has the bulge that mates up to the Y pipe), and I can't find the riser, does anyone have any advice on how to mate this up so it doesn't leak?
Could I just slip in a donut gasket? And also, since nobody appears to make them, if you can't get the part, is there any other way of getting around this?
You need to get another exhaust manifold if you want to get rid of it. They made the ones like you have that took the heat riser and are flat, and they made ones that hook directly to the y-pipe and have the ball for the y-pipe cast into them.
