sorry benny, was hoping that might help if you wanted to backflush a fairly new oil cooler before it was a old solid plugged unit with no help, it seemed to help a few after they backflushed and used that kit afterwards.
That kit is used with a new or properly functioning oil cooler it just routes the coolant flow directly to the hose under the degas tank, bypassing any flow through the intake manifold. It requires the EGR be removed and the manifold plugged for both exhaust flow and coolant flow. I did the same thing on mine years ago with a $10.00 fitting and a modified cover on cooler outlet running a -12 hose directly to the degas, this kit just makes it easier.

Did mine to but this kit looks good,my fitting was about 4 bucks and some hose and clamps- but if he can pull the little cover off and put a hose on the return side to backflush the cooler then add that kit may be ok,im sure it being a new cooler its not baked in it yet like a 1-2 yr old cooler gets, maybe pour some mean green in the coolers return side let sit then backflush, but if 16-1700 laying around get that other option and forget it. Here is some reading about this kit from its founder from the very start-http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40084
