Changed the oil today as well as the fuel filters-that is quite the messy procedure on a 4x4. During all of that, I was also trouble shooting my TBC fault and in that process, I pulled and moved one the maxi fuses (i think they are called), pink 30A and put in the 101 location to get power to my TBC. Like a dummy, I didn't note where that fuse came from. And I don't have an owners manual to know what is what-google is bringing up some random stuff. So I'm not sure if I pulled a fuse that is need to start. I don't know that that is my issue.
I followed the priming instructions of turning the key on 3 times for 30 seconds before starting and have tried it several times since. I cracked the filter cap under the hood and retightened it thinking it may help with pressure but that didn't work. All id does is crank, crank, crank
If I'm correct it takes more than 3 turns to get all of the air out of the system. Try removing your upper fuel filter have a friend turn the key and check for fuel in the filter bowl. That happened to me my first fuel filter change.
When you turn the key. Don't attempt to start the truck. Just key on engine off to cycle the fuel pump. If your bowl is dry and your pump is working. You haven't gotten all of the air out of the system
Removed the cap and filter from on to the engine and it fills with fuel pretty quick. Still no start after trying another 3 rounds of priming for 30 seconds each.
Do you have scangauge or any other engine monitoring device. You will need to know a few engine vitals to try and chase down this problem. I would also double check that fuse you pulled
i have an ODBII scan tool but it won't recongize the system when hooked up for some reason. I'm certain it has something to do with the high pressure system but I don't know how to bleed it.
Ok. Thanks. I'm very new to this and I've learned a ton just tonight with this one problem. I'm going to take the cap off tomorrow on the oil filter and see if something is wrong there.

Does your scan tool need power from the OBDII port to operate? If so, are you saying it powers up but doesn't function? Did it ever communicate with your truck before or is this a new symptom?
