Draining Coolant from the block

So I am changing all the goods on my cooling system. Started out as a water pump change...............but you know! I flushed the system real good with Prestone two stage flush. Recored the radiator, got a new OEM stat, new pump, new hoses etc. I would like to know how to get the rest of the water out of the block so I can fill it with fresh distilled water & coolant. I pulled the block heater to change it, so my water level is down that far.

Thanks!

If you look at the image of this block you will see the Coolant Drains, there is one on each side.

EDIT:
PC Correction ... Changed Water to Coolant!

-Enjoy

WHile you got the plugs out, go on McMaster Carr and buy some valves that thread in. Lots of guys run pet***** in their coolant ports, but i used them and they were more trouble than they are worth. run these valves instead. just connect a foot-long section of hose to the end, flip the switch, and the coolant drains out into your collection basin. easy.
