IPR duty cycle readings
I've been taking of the advice of this forum and monitoring my new to me 06' F-350 with a scangauge II. It's been interesting to see the gauge results the one gauge I'm not sure about is my IRP duty cycle %.
I had to run to the other side of my metro area the other evening so I had a good hour and half of mostly interstate driving unloaded with no trailer. With the engine at operating temp (190-195°F) these were my ranges:
Idle 22-26%
Driving at 65mph: 34-42%
Heavy acceleration: 55-67%
Reading some older posts on the forum I found that my idle % looks normal. Are my cruising speed and acceleration % values normal???
Not sure if it makes a difference but truck is all stock and has 101K for mileage.

Per the PC-ED reference values tables, Hot Idle should be 22%, 30mph should be 29.3%, and 55mph should be 36.33%.
It also ways "reference values may vary as much as 20%", and are RPM and tire dependent, so it's not really a good answer for anything else other than diagnostic "what's way out of line here".
I look for consistency. My IPR% at hot idle has been 23% since I've been watching it, never less than 22 and never over 24. So I'm not worried until that changes.

I'll keep an eye on how consistent my numbers stay.
I was planning to do the STC fitting upgrade this weekend so I wanted to know if my IPR was off I'd take a look at it while it was out anyways. I still plan to get the screen & o-ring kit for it while I'm at Autonation getting my STC kit.

I did the dummy plugs & standpipes a few weeks back. Just like I guessed nobody had replaced them prior. The original dummy plugs o-rings were deformed funny, but not as bad as some pictures I've seen online of them.
So far the only upgrade I've found on this truck is when I had the FICM off it had a re-manufactured International sticker on the bottom dated: November 2013.

Thanks for the tip...you were spot on! I picked up my STC kit today and that same IPR screen kit was bagged separately but included inside the STC kit. Granted it's only $8.59 but that still saving money on a kit I wouldn't of used.
