Hydroboost question
Ive posted in two other sections on here but no info was given so i'll try here since most diesels run the hydroboost. This is on my 79 bronco
I nearly have the hydroboost bleed i think because not much air bubbles come up when i turn lock to lock. But when i push on the brake pedal several times then the power steering pump foams up. Is air in the hydroboost still causing this since it doesnt foam up when i just turn the steering.
But also my pedal doesnt come back up when i push it down. I have to bring it back up manually.
Also do you bleed the brakes first or the power steering? Assuming the power steering?
Any suggestions? Thinking about just doing a vacuum pump to purge the air.

Hmmm. I would bleed first since it'll be the cheapest option. I'm not sure why you would be getting air back out of the PS reservoir. My only guess would be that since your steering works fine, your HB is pushing enough pressure to it. So maybe it's just got a little air it needs to work out of the system. Just spit balling.
