Sam, it sounds like you will be ready to head north shortly !
If you have any doubts on the steer tires, replace them and sell them to some one else. Not worth the headaches. Good luck.

thanks.. you guys are right.. don't waste time and energy, just swap them..

Had to go through the same with mine when the right side would not extend. I can understand the pictures and damage issues, but damage may be kind of subjective when looking at pics.

If the mirror was obviously struck by something and cracked or worse that is one thing. But what about the marks you get from tree branches and such, especially when extended towing?

Probably the best thing you can do is clean up the mirrors before you take it in.
